Two former members of the Clemson Basketball team have been invited to the NBA G League Elite Camp.
Guard Chase Hunter and big man Viktor Lakhin were reportedly among the more than 40 players who received invites to the camp from May 9 to 11. Lakhin is currently at No. 75 on the ESPN big board.
A select number of standouts from the camp will be invited to take part in the 2025 NBA Draft Combine being held May 11-18 in Chicago.
Hunter just finished up a six-year career with the Tigers. He was a catalyst to the Tigers’ run to the Elite Eight during the 2023-24 season, averaging 12.9 points and 2.6 rebounds per contest. Hunter thrived in the NCAA Tournament that season, pouring in 21 points in a first-round win over New Mexico and 20 in a second-round win over Baylor. He then scored 18 in a win over Arizona in the Sweet 16, before finishing with 12 in the Elite Eight loss to Alabama. He would be named to the All-West Region Team.
Hunter then followed that up by helping lead Clemson to its best regular season in program history and another spot in the NCAA Tournament last season as a No. 5 seed. He led Clemson in scoring with 16.5 points per game, while also adding 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.5 blocks per game. He was one of only four players in the country to average at least 16.5 points, and shoot at least .470/.400/.860 from the field, three and free throw line. Hunter was a first-team All-ACC selection.
Lakhin joined the Tigers ahead of last season, transferring in from Cincinnati. As a senior at Clemson, the big man averaged 11.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.
