One of Clemson’s biggest recruiting events of the year is rapidly approaching.
The Tigers will hold their big official visit weekend May 30 to June 2, with Matt Luke looking to add to what is already an elite-level class of offensive linemen.
Clemson already holds commitments from four blue-chip talents, with four-stars Braden Wilmes, Grant Wise, Adam Guthrie and Chance Barclay all having already announced verbal pledges. As we head into the summer months, Luke is looking to add up to two more offensive linemen.
Four-star Carter Scruggs (Loudon County, Leesburg, VA) is a name at the top of the list. The 6-foot-6, 295-pound prospect has visited Clemson multiple times in the past year, with the most recent coming for the Elite Retreat back in March.
Coming out of that visit, Scruggs did not mince his words regarding where the Tigers stood.
“Definitely putting Clemson number one for me right now,” Scruggs told TCI at the time.
Heading into official visits, this is one Clemson is in prime position to win, but the Tigers will have to fend off some legitimate competition to do so.
