Clemson Player Selected in ESPN NBA Mock Draft

With the NBA draft combine in the books and the 2025 NBA draft a month away, ESPN released a post-combine mock draft this week.

ESPN projected one Clemson player – Viktor Lakhin – to be selected in the draft.

Unfortunately, Lakhin suffered a recent injury. According to ESPN’s Jonathan Givony, he has a torn tendon in his left foot that will keep him out of action for three months.

Despite that, ESPN’s mock draft has Lakhin going to the Houston Rockets in the second round with the 59th overall pick – the final pick of the draft.

After spending the first four years of his college career at Cincinnati, Lakhin transferred to Clemson for his final college campaign in 2024-25.

Lakhin was named All-ACC Honorable Mention this past season, when the 6-foot-11 center from Russia played a key role in helping Clemson to a school-record 27 wins.

Across 34 games (33 starts) for the Tigers, he posted 11.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, 1.5 assists and one steal per game while shooting 50.7 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from 3-point range.

Overall in his college career, Lakhin averaged 9.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, one assist and one block per contest, with a 54.2 percent field goal percentage and 31.8 percentage from 3-point land.

Lakhin is listed as the No. 75 overall prospect in ESPN’s top 100 rankings for the NBA draft, which is set to take place on June 25 and 26 (8 p.m., ABC/ESPN) in Brooklyn, N.Y.
