Swinney Camp Notebook: Day 3 Afternoon Session

CLEMSON — Dabo Swinney’s high school ramped back up on Friday afternoon with hundreds of kids from around the country pouring in to work out in front of the coaching staff.

The first session on Friday didn’t get started until after lunch, and The Clemson Insider was on hand for all of the action.

– 2027 four-star QB Charlie Foulke IV (St. Joseph’s Prep, Philadelphia) was one of the bigger names to work out at quarterback during the first session on Friday. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound signal caller attends the same high school as former Clemson LB Jeremiah Trotter. While Foulke still needs to add a little bulk, he throws a nice ball. Georgia, Miami, North Carolina, Virginia Tech and Syracuse have all offered.

– 2027 three-star WR Aden Starling (Shadow Creek, Pearland, TX) was on hand for the first session. Starling is currently committed to Houston, but the 6-foot-1 wideout picked up an offer from Georgia on Thursday after attending camp in Athens. Texas also just offered, too. Starling delayed his flight back home just so he could attend today, with one source saying the Clemson offer was one he really wanted.

– 2027 four-star LB Brayton Feister (Archbishop Hoban, Akron, OH) worked out, and he is a grown man. He is already 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds of chisled muscle. It is readily apparent why he is a Top 150 overall talent and why schools like Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State and Southern Cal have already offered. His footwork is superb and he looks strong as an ox. He’s also a wrestler.

– Feister’s younger brother Brydon, a 2028 LB, was also on hand. Also a wrestler, Feister is already as physically developed as his older brother is. He also moves really well, and shows a lot fo lateral quickness. Can’t say enough about the showing from both of those kids.

– Raburn Gap High School, from just across the state line in Georgia, had a number of players on hand. One was 2028 CB Travonne Johnson, who was as good as any corner on the field. According to one source, Johson was so good, corners coach Mike Reed said he was a pretty good bet for one of the Tigers’ opening offers a year from now, assuming he stays the course.

– 2026 S Zeke Marshall, also out of Raburn Gap, worked out. Marshall used to attend Westside. Standing 6-foot-4, Marshall looked like the tallest safety on the field. Safeties coach Mickey Conn has been recruiting Marshall and he visited Clemson in the spring.

– Another Raburn Gap talent, 2028 DE Segun “Shaggy” Alexander, was another one that really stood out. He is already 6-foot-4, 285 pounds, and he can move for that size. Very quick, explosive first step. A name to watch for in the 2028 recruiting cycle.

– Two more Raburn Gap prospects that shined were OL Jacob Burns and Elijah Hutcheson. Both are members of the 2027 class. Hutcheson is a four-star, ranked inside of the Top 150 overall. Florida, Florida State, Kentucky, Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan have all offered the 6-foot-5 lineman.

Burns is a three-star and is already 6-foot-6 and 300 pounds. Florida, Kentucky, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech and NC State have all offered.

– 2027 S Jaleel Parham (Parkview, Lilburn, GA) was another defensive back that stood out. Safteties coach Mickey Conn invited Parham to come and work out.
