Clemson 2027 Recruiting Board: Tight End

With Clemson likely to sign just one tight end in the 2027 class, expect the number of offered targets to remain on the smaller side.

You have to go all the way back to the 2023 class to find an example of the Tigers handing out more than two offers at the position. Since then, Kyle Richardson has offered two players in each recruiting cycle, hitting on one of the two in every class.

Whether Richardson can continue that level of success in 2027 is yet to be determined, but he has already handed out two offers, with both going to highly touted prospects who camped at Clemson the first week of June.

The first to go public was four-star Jaxon Dollar (E. Lincoln, Denver, NC). The 6-foot-5, 220-pound recruit is a Top 100 talent and one of the five best tight ends in the class per the Composite Rankings. Dollar also excels on the hardwood and showed off excellent agility during his workout at camp.

As a sophomore, Dollar caught 13 passes for 224 yards. Six of those catches went for touchdowns. Those numbers are likely to take a major jump next season when he’s a junior.

Ohio State, UGA, Alabama, Florida State, Tennessee and Ole Miss are just a few of his close to 20 offers.

Four-star Grant Haviland (Milton, Alpharetta, GA) was the second tight end to go public with an offer. He is another highly-rated player. The 6-foot-5, 225-pound recruit made his very first visit to campus for camp, with his performance earning him one of the hard-to-get Clemson offers.

Alabama, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas are among Haviland’s more than two dozen offers, and he is fresh off a visit to Ole Miss.

As a sophomore, Haviland reeled in nine catches for 82 yards. Rivals ranks him No. 42 overall and No. 3 among all tight ends.
