NFL Legacy Target Announces Finalists Ahead of Commitment

Clemson’s final wide receiver target has trimmed his list down to four.

Three-star wideout Devin Fitzgerald (Brophy College Prep, Phoenix, AZ) named Clemson, Stanford, Notre Dame and UCLA as his four finalists on Tuesday. The announcement comes ahead of his previously announced commitment date of July 5.

Fitzgerald is the son of former NFL All-Pro Larry Fitzgerald. He visited Clemson in the spring, then returned for the big official visit weekend. He was the only wideout on hand for the event, and that weekend is when he officially picked up his offer from the Tigers.

In recent weeks, Fitzgerald appears to have been trending towards Notre Dame. The Tigers do already have three receivers committed in the 2026 class, with each of the three being blue-chip talents. Four-star Naeem Burroughs and Connor Salmin committed during the Elite Retreat in March, while four-star Gordon Sellars announced a verbal pledge in May. If indeed Fitzgerald ends up elsewhere, Clemson is likely to stick with the three they already have.
