One of Clemson’s former wide receiver targets has revealed a decision.
Five-star wideout Cederian Morgan (Benjamin Russell, Alexander City, AL) announced a commitment to Alabama on Wednesday, choosing the home-state Crimson Tide over Auburn, Florida, Colorado and Georgia. Morgan also listed Clemson as a finalist, although the Tigers were not in play.
Morgan nabbed one of Clemson’s opening offers last summer after working out at camp. He visited for the Elite Retreat in March and was scheduled to return for the big official visit weekend in early June. However, by then, the Tigers already had three blue-chip receivers committed in the current 2026 class, and Morgan was scratched from the guest list.
“They make you feel like you are at home,” Morgan told TCI in a previous interview. “They treat you like a family. They just keep it real.”
247 ranks Morgan No. 11 overall, No. 2 among all receivers and No. 1 in the state of Alabama.
