Clemson has secured its second 2027 commitment, and it’s a big one.
Four-star QB Kharim Hughley (Gainesville, GA) announced a commitment to the Tigers, just days after going public with an offer that was dispensed on the Fourth of July. The 5-foot-11 signal caller picked up the offer after attending Dabo Swinney’s high school camp. It was his first time on campus.
βMan, I was excited,β Hughley told TCI after he announced the offer. βI was happy that I got it. Told my dad, and he told me congratulations. Made it an overall good day. Got to spend time with my family, and an offer from Clemson. A really, really nice day. So yeah, I was excited.β
Hughley, who hails from the same high school as former standout quarterback Deshaun Watson, has close to 20 offers in total, including Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia and Illinois.
As a sophomore, he passed for 2,543 yards with 22 touchdowns and just two interceptions.
ESPN ranks Hughley No. 93 overall and No. 4 among all 2027 quarterbacks.
Hughley joins four-star linebacker Max Brown as players to announce verbal pledges to the Tigers in the 2027 class.
