Renfrow Shows He’s Still Got It

After a year away from the game, Hunter Renfrow is now making his NFL comeback, and it isn’t taking long for him to show he’s still got it.

The Clemson legend was impressive as the Carolina Panthers opened training camp on Wednesday, with Renfrow hauling in multiple nice catches, including a diving grab:

Of course, Renfrow signed a one-year deal with the Panthers in April after missing all of the 2024 season as he dealt with health challenges stemming from a diagnosis of the autoimmune condition ulcerative colitis.

Now back in action, Renfrow has quickly acclimated himself well with his new team, and Panthers quarterback Bryce Young is among those who have been impressed by the 29-year-old wideout.

“He has such a great feel for the game,” Young said Wednesday regarding Renfrow. “Versus man, versus zone — he just has a great knack for getting open. He understands concepts. Understands defensive leverage. Does a really good job at the top of routes, creating separation, giving indicators. Really friendly and easy to throw to as a quarterback. So, super excited to continue to build chemistry with him.”

A 2019 fifth-round pick of the Raiders and 2021 Pro Bowler, Renfrow is now embarking on his sixth NFL season, after recording 269 receptions for 2,884 yards and 17 touchdowns across his five seasons with the Raiders from 2019-23.
