5-Star Target Set to Return to Clemson

When Clemson hosts LSU to kick off the season, not only will big things be happening on the field, but there will be big things going on off of it.

The Tigers are expected to have a star-studded list of recruits on hand for the big season-opener, with one of the headliners being one of the top players in the next recruiting cycle.

Five-star LB Kaden Henderson (Jesuit, Tampa, FL) tells The Clemson Insider he will be back on campus for the matchup. Henderson, who last visited back in the spring, picked up one of Clemson’s opening offers at the beginning of June.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound prospect attends the same high school that both Wade and Drew Woodaz attended. Freshman OL Gavin Blanchard also went to the same high school before transferring out for his senior year.

The Tigers already have one linebacker on board in the 2027 class, with four-star Max Brown, the younger brother of current Clemson linebacker Sammy Brown, announcing early last month. Expect at a minimum at least one more to be added. Five-star Cooper Witten and four-star Quinton Cypher are the other two uncommitted players at the position to hold offers from the Tigers.

Henderson currently has more than 40 offers and is one of the most heavily pursued linebackers in the class.

The Composite ranks him No. 33 overall, No. 2 among all players at his position and No. 4 in the state of Florida.
