Injury Update on Clemson Safety

CLEMSON — Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney updated the health of a Clemson safety following the Tigers’ scrimmage this past Thursday.

Swinney said redshirt freshman Noah Dixon has been banged up the last week. The Clemson coach did not say what injury has had Dixon sidelined.

“Noah was kind of trending, but he has been out the last week. So, hopefully, we will get him back soon,” Swinney said.

A former four-star prospect by Rivals, Dixon was redshirted in 2024. He played in two games last year.

An All-State player, Dixon was named the Region 4A Athlete of the Year in high school, as he played running back, wide receiver and kick returner. He scored touchdowns in all three areas, 14 overall, while also playing safety.

Swinney also updated the status of fellow safety Khalil Barnes and cornerback Jeadyn Lukus. He said both returned to practice some earlier in the week. Neither played in the scrimmage, though Swinney felt Lukus could have played but he was in a green jersey.

The Clemson coach feels Lukus should be good to go and should be full go when they practice on Sunday. Swinney also said Barnes is getting close and he did do some end-of-the-game stuff during situational drills on Thursday, but nothing was live.
