Speedy In-State WR Set to Be Back at Clemson

The visitor’s list for Clemson’s big season opener continues to grow.

Three-star in-state WR Amare Patterson (Bluffton) tells The Clemson Insider that he will be on hand on August 30 when the No. 4 Tigers kick off the season against No. 9 LSU.

“I’m really looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere at Clemson firsthand and getting around the coaches and players, seeing how they do things,” Ford told TCI. “Just taking in what makes the program special.”

Patterson also runs track, and the speedster has been clocked at 10.7 in the 100-meter dash and 21.7 in the 200. The 6-foot-1 recruit was last on campus in June for Dabo Swinney’s high school camp.

One of the Palmetto State’s best 2027 prospects, Patterson already holds close to 20 offers, including Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Wisconsin and Nebraska.
