In a recent episode of College Football Live, ESPN sports betting analyst/host Joe Fortenbaugh laid out his “best bets” – including Clemson’s over/under win total for the 2025 regular season, which is set at 9.5 wins by multiple sportsbooks.
Fortenbaugh doesn’t see Dabo Swinney’s team having any trouble surpassing that number.
“Find me three losses on this schedule,” he said. “I’ve got Clemson favored in all 12 games. I’ve got them as double-digit favorites in nine of those 12 games. They’re the most experienced team in the nation. Dabo finally hit the transfer portal, and on top of that, you have excellent quarterback play from Cade Klubnik – 37 career games, 36 touchdowns to six interceptions last season.”
ESPN/ACC Network analyst EJ Manuel agreed with Fortenbaugh that the Tigers will hit the over on their 9.5 win total in the regular season.
“I’ve got two thumbs up, brother. This is a great bet,” Manuel said. “Easily they’re going to get into double digits in the regular season. So I would say yes, Clemson over 9.5, absolutely.”
Of course, Clemson will open the season in the national spotlight when the team hosts LSU for a marquee tilt at Memorial Stadium on Aug. 30 (7:30 p.m., ABC).
Clemson’s 2025 schedule once again features a full seven-game home slate in Death Valley in addition to four road games against ACC opponents and a road contest in the regular season finale at South Carolina.
