On top of the last-second, heartbreaking loss to Georgia Tech on Saturday, the Clemson football program is also dealing with one of its top recruits visiting another program on Saturday.
Four-star DE commit Dre Quinn (Buford, GA) is visiting Tennessee for the Volunteers’ game against Georgia.
Quinn has been committed to Clemson since the summer, when the Tigers beat out Texas for the blue-chip talent.
Dabo Swinney has long been known as a head coach who doesn’t approve of committed players taking visits elsewhere. There has been the rare exception here and there, but generally speaking, Swinney does not allow that.
Quinn made waves a few weeks ago when he was photographed sporting Georgia Bulldogs gloves.
The 6-foot-4 recruit was at Clemson two weeks ago when the Tigers opened the season against LSU. He is one of two defensive ends currently committed in the 2026 recruiting class.
