Former Clemson star Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars pulled off a stunning victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in a Monday Night Football thriller.
Lawrence’s wild run in the waning moments propelled the Jaguars to a 31-28 win over Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.
On his 26th birthday, Lawrence helped the Jags improve to 4-1 on the season. He tripped in a terrible spot, but got up and managed to recover en route to the game-winning 1-yard touchdown run with 23 seconds remaining.
Lawrence went 18-of-25 passing for 221 yards and had two touchdown runs, as well as a touchdown pass. He wasn’t perfect, with one lost fumble and an interception, but he came through in the clutch and made a couple of outstanding throws on the game-winning drive.
