NFL Tiger Pegged as Trade Candidate Ahead of Trade Deadline

Could former Clemson star DeAndre Hopkins get traded again this season?

Of course, in October of last year, Hopkins was dealt from the Tennessee Titans to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for a conditional fifth-round pick. He went on to play in his first Super Bowl after 12 NFL seasons and caught a touchdown pass in the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LIX loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Now with the Baltimore Ravens after signing a one-year deal with the team back in March, Hopkins was pegged by Pro Football Focus (PFF) as a trade candidate ahead of the 2025 NFL trade deadline on Nov. 4.

It remains to be seen if the Ravens, who are currently 1-5 and have been playing without star quarterback Lamar Jackson due to a hamstring injury, will be buyers or sellers at the trade deadline.

But if the Ravens were to move Hopkins, PFF listed the San Francisco 49ers, New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers as possible fits for the 33-year-old wideout:

“Although the Ravens entered play Sunday ranked 22nd in offensive EPA per play, Hopkins has assembled a bounce-back season. His 92.7 PFF receiving grade is the second-best among all receivers. On top of that, Hopkins has hauled in five of six contested targets and has yet to drop a pass.

“Having already suited up for three teams over the last two years, Hopkins could soon call a fourth franchise home. San Francisco may pursue another receiver in light of persistent injuries at the position, while the Patriots — who rank seventh in team PFF receiving grade — could seek another field-stretching option for Drake Maye next to Stefon Diggs and Kayshon Boutte.”

In six games with the Ravens thus far this season, Hopkins has recorded nine receptions for 178 yards and two touchdowns.

Hopkins, a five-time Pro Bowler and three-time first-team All-Pro, has amassed 993 receptions for 13,143 yards and 85 touchdowns during his Hall of Fame-caliber career with the Houston Texans, Arizona Cardinals, Titans, Chiefs and Ravens since being selected by Houston in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
