Current Commit Questions Clemson Fan Base

CLEMSON — One current Clemson commit took to social media to voice his displeasure with a part of the fan base after the Tigers’ latest loss to SMU.

The Mustangs took down Clemson 35-24, giving Dabo Swinney’s team its fourth loss of the season and its third at home. The Tigers last lost three games at home in a single season way back in 2001.

Four-star safety in-state commit Kentavion Anderson took to social media following the loss, offering up some harsh criticism of a faction of the fan base.

“Why all the Clemson fans bashing the team and coaches cause of one bad season,” Anderson wrote. “I don’t care, I’m a Tiger win or lose.”

Anderson committed to Clemson back in May, choosing the Tigers over rival South Carolina.

“That was always my dream school,” Anderson told TCI at the time. “They are giving me the opportunity to become a Tiger.”

Rivals ranks the 6-foot-2, 180-pound defensive back No. 69 overall, No. 5 among all safeties and No. 2 in the state.

The loss to SMU drops the Tigers to 3-4 overall and 2-3 in ACC play. With a bye week upcoming, Clemson won’t return to the field until Duke 1, when Duke visits Death Valley.
