Erik Bakich is keeping Clemson hot on the recruiting trail.
The Tigers landed a commitment from 2027 CF Vaughan Steinert (The Stony Brook, NY) on Sunday. Steinert is fresh off a visit to Clemson and also plays shortstop. He is the second player Bakich has landed in the past week or so.
The 6-foot-1, left-handed hitter earned MVP honors at the 17U Perfect Game Fall World Series for USA Prime 17U Red. Steinert accounted for 14 runs total, scoring eight, while driving in six more. He hit .500 from the leadoff spot. He had an OPS of 1.413.
Steinert was also a top junior hockey player in Upstate New York.
