3 Tigers Pegged as First-Round Picks in Recent Mock Draft

A trio of Clemson Tigers landed in a recent mock draft from this national outlet.

Cooper Petagna of CBS Sports recently released a 2026 NFL mock draft that has Clemson defensive end T.J. Parker, defensive tackle Peter Woods and cornerback Avieon Terrell being selected in the first round.

Petagna’s projection has Parker being picked 11th overall by the Washington Commanders.

“One of the most productive pass rushers in the country over the past three seasons, Parker has tallied just two sacks in 2025 after racking up 16.5 in his first two years at Clemson,” Petagna wrote. “Still, his well-rounded skill set — the ability to rush the passer and play the run with equal effectiveness — makes him an ideal fit in Dan Quinn’s defense. Parker provides immediate value for a Washington team desperate for a consistent presence off the edge.”

Five picks after Parker, Petagna sees Woods being selected by the Carolina Panthers with the No. 16 overall pick.

“A three-year starter at Clemson, Woods enters the draft as one of the most experienced and reliable prospects regardless of position,” Petagna wrote. “A quick-twitch, explosive interior defender with the versatility to slide outside as a pass rusher, Dan Morgan and Dave Canales land a bona fide instant-impact player who injects youth and power alongside Derrick Brown.”

Terrell rounds out the Clemson players in Petagna’s mock draft, going to the Indianapolis Colts with the final pick of the first round (No. 32 overall).

“One of the most accomplished and experienced corners in the country, Terrell brings excellent instincts and proven production to the position after starting 26 career games at Clemson,” Petagna wrote. “A sticky man-coverage defender with the versatility to work out of the slot when needed, Indianapolis lands a high-floor, above-average starter who represents strong value at this point in the draft.”

The 2026 NFL Draft will take place from April 23-25 in Pittsburgh.
