Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik hit wide-open wide receiver Antonio Williams in the end zone for a 4-yard touchdown pass with 10:26 left in the second quarter, as the Tigers cut into the Blue Devils’ lead, making the score 21-14 in Saturday’s game at Memorial Stadium.
The touchdown capped a 10-play, 75-yard drive that spanned 4:39.
Wide receiver Tristan Smith had a 20-yard catch on third down, and freshman running back Gideon Davidson had a 17-yard rush on the drive for Clemson. Davidson also recovered a fumble on a 17-yard catch and run by wide receiver T.J. Moore.
Williams’ touchdown marked his second of the day after he scored on a 5-yard rush in the first quarter.
