CLEMSON — When Clemson hosts Florida State, you can almost bank on there being a star-studded list of recruits on hand.
However, this year’s game hits a little differently. The Tigers are just 3-5, having won just once at home all season. The Seminoles come in at 4-4, have just one ACC win, and have yet to win a road game this season.
With the two ACC heavyweights having both been knocked out extremely early, there’s just no sizzle at all surrounding this game. While there will still be some notable recruits on hand, there won’t be nearly as many. The number of recruits Clemson has been bringing in over the past couple of home games has been much lower than what it generally is.
One of the more notable guests is 2027 WR DJ Huggins, who will be making his first visit since picking up an offer less than two weeks ago. Huggins is just the second receiver to land an offer from Clemson, joining four-star Jamarin Simmons. Huggins last visited for the LSU game to open the season.
Speaking of Simmons, the blue-chip talent was expected back on campus this weekend. However, Simmons told TCI earlier in the week that he will not be able to make it.
Here’s a look at some of the other potential prospects expected to be on hand Saturday.
- 2027 in-state WR Jake Ivester
