Following Clemson’s 24-10 win over Florida State on Saturday night, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney began his postgame press conference by thanking Tiger fans who showed up and created a special atmosphere at Memorial Stadium.
“First of all, I want to thank our fans,” Swinney said. “I thought it was just an amazing environment. I mean, it just doesn’t get much better than a night game in the Valley. It was awesome, especially when we do our part as a team to help them. Just a special night.”
Clemson fans helped the Tigers (4-5, 3-4 ACC) snap a three-game losing streak at home and earn their first home victory over a Power 4 team since October 19, 2024 against Virginia. The win over FSU snapped a six-game skid against Power 4 teams at Death Valley.
“Happy for our fans. They did an awesome job. … It was rocking when we got off the bus to come to the Rock,” Swinney said. “There was so much juice in that stadium. … It was awesome. It was great, and again, just happy for our fans.”
Swinney pointed out that Tiger Walk, the pregame tradition where the team walks through thousands of Clemson fans to Memorial Stadium, “was amazing” as well.
“That’s who Clemson is. That’s Clemson people,” Swinney said. “They love the Tigers, and they hang in there.”
Swinney is glad Clemson’s seniors were able to experience another night game in the Valley like the one Saturday night.
“I’m just thankful that our players got to experience that, especially one more night game for these seniors,” Swinney said. “It was really cool.”
Clemson will hit the road on Friday night to play Louisville at 7:30 p.m. in Louisville, before returning home to face Furman on Saturday, Nov. 22.
