On Wednesday evening, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney held his final media availability ahead of Saturday’s game against Furman.
Swinney gave an injury update on starting defensive tackle Stephiylan Green. The redshirt sophomore missed last Friday’s game at Louisville with an undisclosed injury.
Swinney was asked how much Green has been able to practice this week.
“I’m not going to get into how many snaps guys are practicing,” Swinney. “But he’s out there, practicing every day, and back available for us.”
Green has played in nine of Clemson’s 10 games this season, starting six of them. The 6-foot-4, 290-pounder has been credited with 14 total tackles (two for loss), two sacks and one quarterback hurry.
In his first year at Clemson in 2023, Green played 13 defensive snaps over two games while redshirting. He was a second-team freshman All-American selection by The Athletic during his redshirt freshman campaign in 2024, when he was credited with 17 tackles (2.5 for loss), one sack and a pass breakup in 306 defensive snaps over 12 games.
Clemson (5-5, 4-4 ACC) returns to the field on Saturday to host Furman at Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. on The CW.
