South Carolina has lost its lone running back pledge in the 2026 recruiting class.

Four-star Amari Thomas has flipped his commitment from the Gamecocks to Florida State, marking the second time the running back has flipped between the two schools. Back in August, Thomas flipped from the Seminoles to South Carolina.

The 5-foot-10, 178-pound prospect ranks No. 177 overall at Rivals and No. 11 among all running backs.

The Gameocks’ recruiting class ranked No. 21 overall in the 247 Composite Rankings before the flip.
