What They’re Saying: Clemson’s Latest Win, Denson Shines

In his last game at Memorial Stadium, Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik threw for 159 yards and two touchdowns in less than two quarters of play Saturday, as the Tigers rolled to 45-10 victory over Furman.

On Senior Day and Military Appreciation Day, Clemson jumped out to a 31-0 lead in the middle of the second quarter. The Tigers racked up 237 yards and four touchdowns through the air, while rushing for 219 yards and two scores on the ground. Defensively, Clemson posted nine tackles for loss and forced a pair of turnovers.

True freshman quarterback Chris Denson shined in the fourth quarter, throwing a 4-yard touchdown pass to true freshman tight end Logan Brooking, before rushing for a 10-yard score with nine seconds left.

The win improved the Tigers to 6-5 on the season, as the program became bowl eligible for a 27th consecutive season. It also marked Clemson’s third straight victory.
