Clemson defensive tackle Stephiylan Green (undisclosed injury) has not played in the Tigers’ last two games.
Green was out for the Louisville game on Nov. 14. The redshirt sophomore was then listed as available for this past Saturday’s game against Furman, though he did not log a snap.
During his weekly radio show Monday night, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney gave an update on Green, saying he hopes that Green will play in this Saturday’s game at South Carolina.
“He’s missed a couple games, and hopefully we’re going to get him back this week,” Swinney said.
Saturday’s game between Clemson (6-5) and South Carolina (4-7) at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia is set to kick off at noon and will be televised on SEC Network.
Green has played in nine of Clemson’s 11 games this season, starting six of them. The 6-foot-4, 290-pounder has been credited with 14 total tackles (two for loss), two sacks and one quarterback hurry.
In his first year at Clemson in 2023, Green played 13 defensive snaps over two games while redshirting. He was a second-team freshman All-American selection by The Athletic during his redshirt freshman campaign in 2024, when he was credited with 17 tackles (2.5 for loss), one sack and a pass breakup in 306 defensive snaps over 12 games.
