Clemson Lands Commitment from 4-Star WR

A local in-state talent is shutting down his recruitment.

Four-star wideout Trey Wimbley (Daniel) announced a commitment to Clemson on Thursday.

Wimbley just recently picked up an offer from the Tigers after reclassifying from the 2028 class to 2027.

“They just make you feel at home,” Wimbley recently told The Clemson Insider. “They are just a good program. Every time I go there, they make me feel welcome.”

Before announcing he would reclass, 247 ranked Wimbley No. 51 overall in the 2028 class and No. 12 among all receivers. He also ranked No. 2 in the state.

Wimbley becomes the fifth member of the Tigers’ 2027 recruiting class, and the first wide receiver commit.
