Clemson Signee Named Instant Impact Recruit

In three of the past four seasons, a true freshman has made an immediate impact at Clemson.

This current season has been the lone exception, with the Tigers signing just one wideout in the last recruiting class in Ju Ju Preston.

Clemson signed three on Wednesday, with each being ranked as a four-star prospect. One of those, Naeem Burroughs (Bolles School, FL), has been named as an “Instant Impact” player.

Rivals put out a list of 2026 recruits who are capable of making an immediate impact in 2026 and Burroughs was fourth on the list.

“Naeem Burroughs has the skillset and athletic ability to walk and become an instant impact role player at the collegiate level,” Rivals’ Cody Bellaire wrote. “Given that Clemson has a lineage of pass catchers that have had dominant freshman seasons, it’s easy to see how Burroughs could have every opportunity to do the same. With Antonio Williams potentially heading to the NFL Draft, there is a possibility that Burroughs could walk into an opportunity to compete for the number three receiver spot alongside Bryant Wesco and TJ Moore. Burroughs’ speed and ability to create with the ball in his hands is too dangerous to keep on the sideline as he is very likely to be one of the most dynamic offensive players on the entire roster.”

Rivals ranks Burroughs No. 35 overall, No. 6 among all receivers in the class and No. 4 in the state of Florida.
