CLEMSON — When fans look at Clemson’s 2026 recruiting class, some tend to overlook three-star quarterback Brock Bradley.
With the Tigers also signing four-star signal caller Tait Reynolds, much of the attention seems to be focused on him, with Bradley basically becoming the forgotten man.
However, Bradley had an extremely successful high school career at Spain Park, a 6A school in Alabama. He won the job as a sophomore and shone in his debut season, earning second-team all-region honors and all-state honorable mention that year.
During his signing day press conference on Wednesday, Dabo Swinney had some extremely high praise for the incoming freshman.
“Brock is a winner,” the head coach said. “This kid, he is kind of Baker Mayfield-ish, if you will. He is a winner, and he has always been a winner.”
Bradley was also extremely successful as an upperclassman. As a senior, he went 174-of-255 for 2,930 yards and 32 touchdowns, guiding his team to a 9-3 record and a second-round playoff appearance. He threw 32 touchdowns to just five interceptions while sporting a QB rate of 138.2.
“He has played at a really high level in the state of Alabama,” Swinney added. “He has always been a committed guy to where he was. I just think he is a really talented player.”
Both quarterbacks are expected to be early enrollees, and with the starting job wide open, Bradley is coming in early to compete. Let the chips fall where they may.
“He is not afraid to compete,” Swinney said. “That is another thing I love about Brock. He is not afraid to compete. Matter of fact, he looks forward to that.”
