The Cleveland Browns announced on Saturday that K.J. Henry has been elevated from the practice squad. The team signed Henry to the practice squad back in September after he had spent time with the team during the preseason.
The former Clemson Tiger is in his third NFL season. Originally a fifth-round pick by Washington in 2023, Henry has appeared in 14 career games with three starts with the Commanders (2023), Bengals (2024) and Cowboys (2024). He has recorded 22 career tackles and 2.5 sacks. Henry will wear No. 90.
Henry spent five seasons at Clemson (2018-22), registering 147 career tackles (28.0 for loss), 13.5 sacks, 11 pass breakups, four fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles in 1,771 snaps over 58 career games (24 starts). He earned All-American honors in 2022.
At the time of his departure for the NFL, his 58 career games were the most ever by a Clemson defensive end.
