DeMonte Caphart is finishing up a six-year career at Clemson, and on Thursday, he took to social media to thank the fans, the coaches and his teammates.
“Thank you for welcoming me and believing in me since the moment I first stepped on campus,” Capehart posted to Instagram. “Coming to Clemson as a young man from South Carolina, I knew this place was special. But I didn’t realize how deeply it would shape me until I experienced every single day.”
“With a grateful heart and excitement for the future, I am humbled and blessed to announce that I will be declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft.”
Capehart has been a staple on the Tigers’ defensive front the past two seasons, starting six games and appearing in 23.
Over his six-year career, he’s been credited with 72 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, one forced fumble and five pass breakups.
