Penn State Missing Starting Defender for Pinstripe Bowl

Penn State will be without another key player in the Pinstripe Bowl.

Starting cornerback A.J. Harris is no longer listed on the Nittany Lions roster. The junior logged the second-most snaps (493) at corner for Penn State this season. He plans to enter the transfer portal when it opens on January 2.

Harris collected 33 tackles this season, with one for loss, one pass breakup and a fumble recovery. He was an All-Big Ten honorable mention after earning third-team all-conference honors in 2024.

Harris is a multi-year starter, having played in 27 games dating back to the 2024 season.

The former five-star recruit was a member of the 2023 recruiting class, for whom Clemson was a finalist. He began his collegiate career at Georgia before transferring to Penn State.
