Another Penn State Starter Out for Pinstripe Bowl

Penn State is down another starter for its Pinstripe Bowl matchup against Clemson on Saturday.

Veteran defensive end Zuriah Fisher is opting out of the bowl game. He ranked second among Penn State edge rushers in snaps and pressures this season.

The sixth-year senior recorded 19 tackles over 11 games in 2025 after missing all of last season with an injury. He has appeared in 35 career games with the Nittany Lions.

True freshman Yvan Kemajou is expected to slide into Fisher’s starting spot. He closed the 2025 season strong and finished with 12 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Fisher will finish his career at Penn State with 41 tackles, 5.5 sacks, seven tackles for loss, one fumble recovery, and a forced fumble. All 11 of his starts came in 2025.

Fisher is the second defensive starter to opt out in as many days, joining starting cornerback A.J. Harris. Promising freshman DE Chaz Coleman is another defensive lineman who won’t play after announcing plans to enter the transfer portal.
