Leigh Has ‘All Trust In World’ In Injury-Depleted OL

Tristan Leigh believes it is important to finish, which is why he never seriously considered opting out of Clemson’s Pinstripe Bowl matchup against Penn State.

With the fifth-year senior about to suit up for his final game with the Tigers, Leigh is looking to do his part to ensure Clemson finishes the season on a high note.

“Finishing. I always try and keep that mindset with everything I am doing,” Leigh said. “Every rep, every play, I am trying to finish. Give my brothers all that I got.”

Despite Clemson not having the type of season most envisioned, the Tigers are currently riding a four-game winning streak. Taking down the Nittany Lions would give Dabo Swinney’s team an eighth win after beginning the 2025 campaign by dropping three of the first four games and five of the first eight.

“What an opportunity to get to play with my friends and my brothers again,” Leight added. “I do not take that for granted. I want to finish strong and with a win.”

Seeing as several key offensive linemen are out due to injuries, the Tigers are going to need at least one of the inexperienced players to step up. Dietrick Pennington is expected to make his first career start at LG with Collin Sadler out, and underclassmen Ian Reed, Ronan O’ Connell, Gavin Blanchard and Mason Wade are all listed in the two deep for this game.

However, Leigh insists Clemson’s offensive line is well prepared for instances such as this one, and he is extremely confident this group will get it done against the Nittany Lions.

“All the trust in the world,” Leigh said. “We are a very tight-knit group. We try and be intentional throughout the whole season and offseason, making sure we put other guys in where other guys will have to step up. You don’t notice a difference because we have a standard in our room. We are all committed to that and that is what you will see.”
