Clemson DL Accepts Invitation to All-Star Game

DeMonte Capehart has finished up his six-year career at Clemson, and on Monday, an announcement was made regarding Capehart and a college all-star football game.

The departing Clemson defensive tackle has officially accepted his invitation to the East-West Shrine Bowl.

The East-West Shrine Bowl gives top college players the opportunity to showcase their talents to NFL scouts and a national television audience.

The 2026 East-West Shrine Bowl will take place at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, on January 27. It is set to kick off at 7 p.m. ET and will air on NFL Network.

Capehart has been a staple on the Tigers’ defensive front the past two seasons, starting 12 games and appearing in 23.

Over his six-year career, he’s been credited with 72 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, one forced fumble and five pass breakups.

This season, the 6-foot-5, 315-pounder was credited with 21 tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack and two pass breakups.

Capehart did not play in the Pinstripe Bowl vs. Penn State on Dec. 27 after declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft. Clemson senior quarterback Cade Klubnik, who concluded his college career in the 22-10 Pinstripe Bowl loss to the Nittany Lions, was also recently announced as having accepted his invite to the East-West Shrine Bowl.
