5-Star Target Sets Commitment Date, Clemson Misses Cut

One of Clemson’s top targets is set to announce a decision.

Five-star in-state DL Jaiden “Boog” Bryant (Irmo) announced his six finalists on Friday and disclosed that he will reveal a decision on Saturday during the UA Next All-America Game.

Bryant’s six finalists consist of South Carolina, LSU, Texas A&M, Alabama, Miami and Georgia. Clemson did not make the cut.

He originally put out a list that included Clemson and excluded the Gamecocks, but updated the list late Friday. The new one has South Carolina in and the Tigers out. Either way, Clemson never appeared to gain much traction in this one.

The 6-foot-4 prospect visited for the season-opener against LSU, then picked up an offer from the Tigers in October.

Bryant ranks No. 34 overall in the 247 Composite Rankings, No. 5 among all edge rushers and No. 2 in the state of South Carolina.
