So far, Clemson has offered just one running back in the 2027 recruiting class.
Four-star in-state talent Tre Segarra (Byrnes) was the recipient of that offer last summer, and he has remained the lone back with an offer ever since.
However, four-star Andrew Beard (Prince Avenue Christian, GA) has long been on the Tigers’ radar. Breard has visited on multiple occasions, including a workout at camp last summer before returning for the season-opener against LSU.
If or when the coaching staff decides to expand the board, Beard is certainly a name worth monitoring.
Beard told The Clemson Insider he was eyeing the Elite Retreat on March 7 as a possible return date. He plans to visit Indiana on January 24. The Hoosiers have become a prominent factor in his recruitment, with Tennessee and Georgia also heavily involved. Beard’s uncle is Garrison Hearst, who was a star running back for the Dawgs during the 1990s.
As a junior, the 5-foot-10, 192-pound back rushed for close to 1,300 yards, with 13 touchdowns. He went over 100 times in six games and averaged 7.8 yards per carry. He also reeled in 31 receptions for 450 yards, with five touchdown grabs.
247 ranks Beard No. 63 overall, No. 4 among all running backs and No. 6 in the state of Georgia.
