Clemson has picked up a transfer portal commitment from an FCS edge rusher.
Howard defensive end CJ Wesley has committed to the Tigers.
Wesley, a rising redshirt senior, announced an offer from Clemson on Saturday following a visit to campus.
The 6-foot-2, 240-pounder becomes the second portal defensive end to join the Tigers, alongside London Merritt from Colorado.
As a redshirt junior in 2025, Wesley recorded 33 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
Wesley spent four years at Howard from 2022-25. He redshirted in 2024 and did not play.
Over 26 games in his career there, Wesley was credited with 47 total tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks.
