One of Clemson’s top targets in the 2026 recruiting class is about to become a former in-state prospect.
Five-star cornerback Josh Dobson announced on Monday that he intends to transfer from Catawba Ridge High School, located in Fort Mill. The blue-chip talent will play his senior season at William Amos Hough, located in North Carolina.
The 6-foot-1 defensive back was the first player in the 2027 class to announce an offer from the Tigers. He’s been on campus several times now, with the most recent visit coming for the season-opening loss to LSU.
Dobson visited Auburn over the weekend and will hit Tennessee this weekend. LSU is also set to get a February visit. No word yet on whether he plans to attend Clemson’s Elite Retreat on March 7.
The 247 Composite Rankings slot Dobson No. No. 3 overall, No. 1 among all corners in the class and No. 1 in the state of South Carolina.
