One of the nation’s top tight end prospects is set to return to Clemson this spring.
East Lincoln High School (Denver, N.C.) four-star tight end Jaxon Dollar confirmed to The Clemson Insider that he will be in Tigertown on March 7 for the Clemson football program’s Elite Retreat.
Dollar is the No. 3 tight end in the country for the 2027 recruiting class, according to both 247Sports and the 247Sports Composite. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 1 overall prospect in the state of North Carolina and the No. 58 overall prospect nationally for his class regardless of position.
The 6-foot-5, 222-pounder lists well over two dozen total offers. In early December, Dollar released a top 10 that featured Clemson along with Texas, Georgia, LSU, Texas A&M, Miami, Ohio State, Florida, Oregon and Notre Dame.
Dollar announced an offer from Clemson this past summer after camping with the Tigers. He is one of only two tight ends the Tigers have offered in his class.
Dollar was back on campus for Clemson’s 2025 season opener against LSU on Aug. 30.
“I would say Clemson’s culture has a real, what my momma calls, ‘southern hospitality,’” Dollar told The Clemson Insider prior to the LSU game. “They won’t let just anybody in their house, but the ones they can trust. They take care of you.”
