Klubnik says Thank You to Clemson in Farewell Message

Cade Klubnik has finished up his four-year career at Clemson, and on Wednesday, he took to social media and said thank you to Clemson while formally declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft after exhausting his college eligibility.

The star quarterback, who spent three seasons as the Tigers’ starting signal caller, expressed thanks to Clemson, his coaches, teammates, family and friends in the following farewell message on Instagram:

“Thank you for taking a 17-year-old kid who grew up 17 hours away in Austin, TX, and shaping me into the man I am today. Thank you for the hundreds of incredible relationships I’ve built and the thousands of unforgettable moments. Thank you for always believing in me and truly becoming my second home.

“Thank you to all my coaches for pushing me to be the best I can be – pushing me to be the best Cade Klubnik there is. Thank you for the years of encouragement and support that have helped get me to this point.

“Thank you to my teammates for being a group of brothers I’ve been able to lean on and grow with. Thank you for showing me what true grit and perseverance looks like.

“To my family and close friends, thank y’all for always loving me for who I am, not what I do. Thank you for the sacrifices you’ve made to help make my dream of playing college football come true.

“These past four years exceeded every expectation I had, and I’m excited for what’s next. It’s a true honor to say that I will be declaring for the NFL Draft.”

Klubnik passed for 10,123 yards with 73 touchdowns and 24 interceptions during his Clemson career spanning 49 games (40 starts) from 2022-25. He also rushed for 878 yards and 17 touchdowns on 369 carries.

The former five-star prospect finished his Clemson career with 11,001 yards of total offense, becoming the fourth quarterback in school history to reach the 11,000-yard mark. Klubnik leaves Clemson as the school record-holder in pass completions (916) and pass attempts (1,432), third in passing yards (10,123) and fourth in passing touchdowns (73), total touchdown responsibility (90) and yards of total offense (11,001).

Klubnik posted a 26-14 record as a starter, concluding his career fifth in wins by a starting quarterback in school history. He is one of six Tiger quarterbacks since World War II to win at least 25 games as a starting quarterback, and he became the third two-time ACC Championship Game MVP all-time.
