SC House Rep. Jokingly Cut off After Dissing Gamecocks

A funny moment transpired in the South Carolina State House this week.

SC House Rep. Chris Hart was jokingly cut off by a Gamecocks-partisan legislator after praising Clemson and dissing the South Carolina football program during discussions about an NIL-related bill.

“Gamecocks just can’t get it together. It ain’t got nothing to do with NIL. They’ve never been able to get it together. They won’t ever get it together,” Hart said.

“Mr. Hart, I’m going to remind you to stay on topic, please sir. Do not talk about the Gamecocks,” responded the legislator in charge of the hearing.

Rep. Hart continued, bringing up Clemson’s national championships.

“Yes sir, I gotcha. And y’all mad at Clemson. And I’m not a Clemson fan, but you mad at Clemson. But Clemson got a tradition of winning,” Hart said.

“Now you have crossed the line, Mr. Hart. Thank you for your service. Mr. Hart’s time has expired,” the other legislator responded.
