Former Clemson RB Decides On Transfer Destination

A Clemson legacy player has found his new home.

Former Tiger running back Keith Adams Jr. has committed to Georgia State.

Adams played in 11 games this season, rushing for 71 yards and one touchdown on 14 carries.

The son of former Clemson standout LB Keith Adams made waves after announcing his intentions to enter the portal with a social media post targeting the Clemson coaching staff.

“I was not used the right way at my previous school and have proven multiple times that I am worthy to play,” Adams wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “I have 1 more year of eligibility and I plan on making a huge impact on wherever I go. I guarantee I’ll be the hardest running back to tackle in college football.”

Adams later attempted to clarify those remarks with another social media post.

“I am not blaming anyone at all,” he said on X. “I feel like it is right for me to stand up for myself and not be silent. I’m sure a lot of players go through the same thing. I lead a game in rushing playing less than 5 minutes. I didn’t ask to start, I just wanted to play more. I didn’t get that.”

Adams entered the 2025 campaign with 44 career carries for 203 yards and a touchdown, as well as one reception for 4 yards, in 138 snaps over 21 games from 2022-24.
