A highly-touted Clemson target is set to return to campus in the spring.

Four-star safety Davion Jones (West Charlotte, NC) tells The Clemson Insider that he plans to be on hand for the Elite Retreat on March 7.

The 5-foot-11 defensive back released a list of finalists back in October that included Clemson, LSU, Georgia, Florida State, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

Jones was last at Clemson for the Tigers’ season opener against LSU. He picked up his offer back in the summer after an impressive workout at camp.

“It shows that all the work I put in it didn’t go to waste or nothing,” Jones told TCI in a previous interview. “I’m kind of patting myself on the back about that one.”

He ranks No. 122 overall in the 247 Composite Rankings, No. 12 among all safeties in the class and No. 6 among all players in the state of North Carolina.
