In-State Lineman Nabs Clemson Offer, Sets Next Visit

Clemson is expanding the board at defensive tackle.

Three-star in-state talent Jaden Wuerth (Dutch Fork) announced an offer from the Tigers on Tuesday after an in-home visit from assistant Nick Eason.

Wuerth has visited on multiple occasions in the past, including last year’s season-opener against LSU, and he tells The Clemson Insider that he plans to be back for the Elite Retreat on March 7.

“It is different from everywhere I have been,” Wuerth told TCI in a previous interview. “They care about you as a player, but they care about everything that comes with it. Like school, how your family is doing, just everything. That is something that’s important to me.”

Wuerth began his high school career at Aquinas in Georgia before transferring to Dutch Fork ahead of last season.

The 6-foot-3, 275-pound prospect now has well over a dozen offers, including Georgia Tech, Miami, South Carolina and Vanderbilt.
