Priority Target Sets Next Clemson Visit

One of Clemson’s top targets is set to return to campus in the spring.

After getting a visit from head coach Dabo Swinney and running backs coach C.J. Spiller, four-star in-state back Tre Segarra (Byrnes) will make his next visit to Clemson in March. The Elite Retreat is being held on March 7.

This is the second time Spiller has been in to see Segarra during the current contact period.

The 5-foot-10, 195-pound back was the first player at his position to pick up an offer from the Tigers back in the summer. Segarra visited Clemson twice during the season, with the first one coming for the season-opener against LSU. He then returned in November for the win over Florida State.

Segarra is considered one of the top players in the state, with Tennessee and South Carolina also heavily involved in his recruitment. He currently has close to two dozen offers in total.

As a junior, Segarra rushed for 1,460 yards and 17 touchdowns, while averaging 8.4 yards per carry. He also had 198 receiving yards with four touchdown catches.

247 ranks Segarra No. 109 overall, No. 5 among all running backs in the 2027 class and No. 2 in the state of South Carolina.
