Titsworth Looking to Build On Strong Sophomore Campaign

Drew Titsworth did a little bit of everything for Clemson last season.

The right-handed hurler, with the unorthodox delivery, appeared in 20 games in 2025, with seven of those being starts.

Titsworth was inserted into the starting rotation in April, well after the Tigers had begun ACC play. He threw six shutout innings against Louisville that day. As a starter, Titsworth went 2-1. In 13 relief appearances, he was 3-0 with two saves and 29 strikeouts in 22.1 innings pitched.

While head coach Erik Bakich has not yet officially set his starting rotation beyond Aidan Knaak, there’s a better than average chance Titsworth is one of the weekend starters.

“With every experience last year, you get to learn from all of those,” Titsworth said. “The positives, more than the negatives, you learn from. You take those and keep growing. That is the ultimate goal. We talk about to keep growing every single day. Just keep getting better.”

However, the junior pitcher isn’t coming into the season overly concerned with what his role is going to be. Whether he’s starting or coming in out of the bullpen, he just wants to serve the team as best he can.

“It doesn’t really matter, I have full trust in the coaches and what they are going to do,” Titsworth added. “What is best for the team, whatever they want me to do, I am willing to do that.”

For Titsworth, it’s not about individual accomplishments. His focus is on doing his part to help the team have the best season possible. One that ends better than the last one when the Tigers were ousted on their home field in regional play.

“Obviously, we were disappointed with the end of last year,” Titsworth said. “But we got a bunch of new guys here. A very new group. A lot of promising newcomers and even returners that have made big strides. We are more looking forward to how this year is going to go.”
