ESPN’s Matt Miller was among the NFL draft analysts on hand for the Senior Bowl last week, and with that prestigious college football all-star game/national showcase for top NFL prospects in the books, Miller released a new, two-round mock draft this week.
Miller’s latest 2026 NFL mock draft has five Clemson players coming off the board over the first two rounds, including three in the first round.
Clemson defensive end T.J. Parker – who was pegged by Miller as the “overall winner” of the 2026 Senior Bowl – is the first Tiger that Miller projects to be picked in this spring’s draft.
Miller has Parker going to the Dallas Cowboys with the 20th overall pick.
“Edge rusher vaulted up the Cowboys’ list of 2026 priorities the moment Micah Parsons was traded,” Miller wrote. “In this spot, they would get a long, tough, aggressive defender who had the best Senior Bowl week of any edge-rushing prospect. Parker was seen as a potential Round 1 player entering last season after compiling 11 sacks in 2024 but saw his production drop to 5.5 sacks. But the Senior Bowl reminded us of Parker’s ability to win by locking out blockers with his long arms. That is a powerful trait in both the pass rush and run defense.
“Dallas needs an immediate-impact edge rusher, and Parker has the necessary traits and production. His elite run defense helps make him a fit in Dallas, especially with owner Jerry Jones’ stated desire for stout run defenders.”
A 2023 freshman All-American and 2024 All-ACC selection, Parker piled up 144 tackles (41.5 for loss), 21.5 sacks, six forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries and five pass breakups over 39 games (29 starts) in his Clemson career from 2023-25. He leaves Tigertown ranked 10th in career sacks and tied for fourth in career fumble recoveries, and he set the Clemson record for forced fumbles in a single season with six in 2024.
Right behind Parker, Miller has Clemson cornerback Avieon Terrell being taken by the Pittsburgh Steelers with the No. 21 overall pick.
“The Steelers have one emerging star cornerback in Joey Porter Jr. but need to upgrade from free agents James Pierre and Asante Samuel Jr. at the opposite spot,” Miller wrote. “The younger brother of Falcons cornerback A.J. Terrell Jr., Avieon Terrell is a savvy cover man with fantastic short-area quickness and fast eyes. He’s an ultra-athletic, fluid mover with the hips, quickness and press-man prowess to be a solid starter immediately, especially in a defense that can pressure the quarterback and create flip-the-field opportunities for defensive backs.
“Yes, quarterback will absolutely be a discussion point here, but Pittsburgh has to learn from the Kenny Pickett selection in 2022 and not force a pick based on need.”
A 2025 All-American and Jim Thorpe Award semifinalist, Terrell was credited with 128 tackles (9.0 for loss), 30 pass breakups, three interceptions, 4.0 sacks, eight forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries across 39 games (31 starts) in his career as a Tiger from 2023-25. The two-time All-ACC selection set Clemson records for a defensive back in forced fumbles in a season (five in 2025) and a career (eight from 2023-25), and he led all cornerbacks nationally in forced fumbles across his three-year Clemson career.
Rounding out the trio of first-round Clemson picks in Miller’s mock draft is offensive tackle Blake Miller to the Houston Texans with the 28th overall selection.
“Miller probably isn’t a first-rounder in the 2025 draft,” Matt Miller wrote. “But in a 2026 class that lacks a high number of prospects with a first-round grade, drafting a rock-solid right tackle with a ton of experience (54 starts) and just two sacks and two blown run blocks allowed last season seems like good value. Miller would slide into the starting lineup opposite Aireontae Ersery, last year’s second-rounder, to form a young bookend duo that can help protect C.J. Stroud well enough to elevate his game as his rookie contract nears expiration. Considering the Texans finished 30th in pass block win rate (55.5%), they could use the help. Miller received a lot of love from scouts I talked to at the Senior Bowl, something that could push him up boards.”
A hard-nosed iron man, Miller started every game Clemson played in his entire four-year career and also set the Clemson record for consecutive starts by a non-specialist with 54. He followed his 2022 freshman All-American season with three consecutive All-ACC seasons and joined Mitch Hyatt (four), Jeb Flesch (three) and Tyrone Crowder (three) as the fourth offensive lineman in school history to be a three-time All-ACC honoree.
As for Matt Miller’s second-round projections regarding Clemson players, he has defensive tackle Peter Woods and wide receiver Antonio Williams going back-to-back, with Woods to the Cincinnati Bengals (No. 41 overall pick) and Williams to the New Orleans Saints (No. 42 overall).
“An edge rusher could be in play at this spot, but Woods’ ability to play in a 1- or 3-technique alignment with pass-rush upside is too good to pass up in a weak defensive tackle class,” Miller wrote.
Added Miller of Williams: “[Tyler] Shough could be the real deal at quarterback, so it’s time to build around him. Williams could be the No. 2 receiver the Saints need opposite Chris Olave.”
Woods was credited with 99 tackles (14.5 for loss), 5.0 sacks, two forced fumbles and two pass breakups over 35 games (24 starts) in his Clemson career from 2023-25. He was a freshman All-American in 2023, and in 2025, he became Clemson’s first All-American at defensive tackle since Christian Wilkins’ unanimous selection in 2018. Woods was the only player in America in 2025 to record multiple games with both a sack and a rushing touchdown.
A two-time All-ACC selection, Williams tallied 2,336 yards and 21 touchdowns on 208 career receptions in 43 games (38 starts) from 2022-25. In 2025, Williams became the fifth player in Clemson history to record 200 career receptions. The Irmo, S.C., native completed his career ranked fourth in career receptions and also leaves Clemson tied for the fourth-most touchdown receptions in school history. He became the 17th player in Clemson history to reach 2,000 career receiving yards and recorded a catch in each of his first 33 career games at Clemson, the seventh-longest streak in school history.
The 2026 NFL Draft will take place from April 23-25 in Pittsburgh.
