CLEMSON — Erik Bakich’s Clemson baseball team continued its hot start to the season with a three-game sweep of Bryant over the weekend.
The Tigers have now won seven straight to start the season and have moved up four spots to No. 15 in the D1 Baseball Top 25 Rankings.
The ACC has a total of seven teams currently in the rankings, with Georgia Tech at No. 5, North Carolina at No. 8, NC State at No. 14, Wake Forest at No. 16, Miami at No. 17 and Florida State at No. 21. Louisville dropped out of the rankings this week after its 3-4 start to the season.
The pitching has been one of the biggest stories early on for Clemson, with the team sporting an ERA of 1.35 and a WHIP of 0.80.
At the plate, the Tigers are hitting .345 with 12 home runs through the first seven games.
Next up for Clemson comes a midweek home matchup against Presbyterian on Tuesday before the annual rivalry series this weekend against South Carolina.
