Injury Update on T.J. Moore

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney met with the media on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the Tigers’ first spring practice of 2026.

Swinney gave a number of injury updates, including one on star wide receiver T.J. Moore.

Swinney said that Moore had a lower-body surgery after last season and will be limited early in spring, much like fellow wide receiver Cole Turner.

“T.J. Moore, right now, still in yellow. Had a little surgery postseason,” Swinney said. “… Him and Cole Turner both had very similar surgery, lower-body wise. So, they’re both doing great. They’ll both be limited early, but at some point as we get through spring, those guys will ramp up as well.”

Moore will enter the 2026 season having amassed 97 receptions for 1,488 yards and nine touchdowns over 27 games (22 starts) in his first two seasons.

The rising junior joined Justyn Ross, Artavis Scott and Sammy Watkins as the only players in Clemson history to record at least 650 receiving yards in each of their freshman and sophomore seasons.

As a sophomore in 2025, Moore hauled in 52 passes for four touchdowns and a team-high 837 receiving yards while starting all 13 games (all starts). He earned third-team All-ACC honors from Phil Steele.

As a true freshman in 2024, Moore was one-half of Clemson’s freshman wide receiver duo alongside Bryant Wesco Jr. that made the Tigers the first power conference team since at least 2000 to have multiple freshmen reach 650-plus receiving yards and five or more touchdown catches in a single season. Moore caught 45 passes for 651 yards and five touchdowns across 14 games (nine starts) in his debut season.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder was a five-star prospect coming out of Tampa (Fla.) Catholic High School in the 2024 recruiting class. He was the No. 5 wide receiver nationally and the No. 23 overall prospect in his class, according to the 247Sports Composite.
